The 7th OCAT International Art Residency's Program - Prof. Janwillem Schrofer's LECTURES & CONSULTATIONS
OCT Contemporary Art Terminal has invited Prof. Janwillem Schrofer to give a number of lectures titled 'RESIDENCIES: A VITAL WEB OF FRIENDSHIP, KNOWLEDGE AND COOPERATION', at the OCAT Art Center in Shenzhen, China.
These activities are part of the 7th OCAT International Art Residency. OCAT has invited former residents of the program, and organizers of residencies in the Pearl River Delta Region and Xiamen City to participate in these lectures and discussions together with the new residents. The lectures will be followed by audience Q&A's.
As ex-president of the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten Prof. Janwillem Schrofer (1945-) has aquired vast experience with setting up international artist-in-residency programs.
This year's residency program has invited one curator and two artists. They are Marko Daniel, curator at Tate Modern, Chinese young artist Liu Shiyuan, and Dutch artist Constant Dullaart.
SICA and the Chinese real estate developer OCT have signed a multiyear partnership agreement for the purpose of stimulating and financing cultural exchange between the Netherlands and China.
